Tom Watson
Was it Tom Watson who once hit a very nice approach shot by first hitting it off a brick wall?
I cant remember who it was but I know I've seen the highlight and I was trying to find a video of it to show my buddy. (Trying to win a bar bet more less, any help is appreciated)
I believe it was Tom Watson and he was very close to the wall along the right side of hole no. 17 at St. Andrews and had a very restricted backswing so instead of taking a chance of missing the ball he went on the opposite of the ball and hit the ball into the wall and the ball ricocheted off from the wall and on to the green.
This is just from memory so it could have been hole no. 18.
