Can someone give away an item with a copyrighted sports logo?
Such as an NCAA or NFL logo. Giving away a single item, not on a large scale. Not selling, trading, or bartering the item, but giving it away as a gift. What if you were to sew or embroider the logo yourself? Rather than an item where it was added by the manufacturer.
If it was purchased with the logo then you can sell it with the logo. If you buy a licensed logo and apply it to the clothing, you can also sell that. You cannot make Your Own copy of a logo and sell it in any form unless you have the necessary license from the trademark and copyright owners.
